Removing surface stains

A little night-time mishap can happen in the blink of an eye. To remove light stains, a homemade natural mixture may be all you need. You can prepare a solution using one part white vinegar and one part lukewarm water. Lightly soak a clean towel in this liquid (without soaking it through to avoid excessive dampness) and gently dab the area to be treated.

Remove stubborn stains

For more stubborn stains, combine white vinegar and methylated spirits.
For bloodstains, Marseille soap or diluted hydrogen peroxide remain very effective. For stubborn rings, try soda crystals: 2 tablespoons in a litre of hot water will do the trick. Apply this mixture with a sponge, rub gently, then rinse with a clean, damp towel.

A deep clean for a spotless mattress

If these methods aren’t enough to get your mattress clean, a steam cleaner could be your best friend. This appliance removes deep-seated dirt, disinfects without the use of chemicals, and extends the life of your bedding.

Best practices to adopt in your daily life

Regular maintenance helps to maintain a healthy sleeping environment. Start each day by airing out your bedroom and spreading out your sheets to allow any moisture that has built up overnight to escape.
Shake out your pillows and duvets first thing in the morning and make your bed carefully: a simple step for comfort and hygiene.

Opt for natural cleaning products such as lemon, bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar or essential oils to clean your bedroom. Also remember to vacuum regularly, particularly if you are sensitive to dust mites or allergens.

Washing your bed linen: an essential habit

Once you’ve cleaned your mattress, why not take the opportunity to wash your bed linen. We recommend doing this weekly to maintain optimal hygiene. White sheets are ideal for washing at 60°C, without any risk of colour fading. As for the duvet, taking it to the dry cleaners from time to time is ideal, especially if there are stains or a lingering odour.

Sleep better with the right equipment

A quality mattress deserves to be well looked after. To improve your comfort, invest in bed linen made from natural, temperature-regulating materials that adapt to the seasons.
Choose pillows suited to your body shape, and consider using a mattress protector to prevent any accidents. To complete the look of your bedroom, feel free to add a few decorative touches or a room fragrance diffuser.

Finally, before applying any specific treatment to your Mattress, it is always best to seek professional advice to avoid any risk of damage.
