A few years later, a major innovation took place: the springs were cleverly enclosed in fabric pockets, marking the birth of the first pocket springs.
In 1929, the very first Simmons mattresses were transported across the Atlantic Ocean aboard the ocean liners Le Normandie and Le France. Upon their arrival in France, they were immediately embraced, marking Simmons’ successful establishment in the country.
